“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18
The Greek word translated “changed” above is metamorphoo; a change in state, form, kind, quality or glory. It is a continuous transformation, and it happens as you behold the glory of the Lord in the mirror of His Word.
This is why the Word must be more than something you read on Sundays. Meditation is the mirror. The longer you gaze, the more you are changed into what you see.
Nothing else transforms a man like the Word of God. Not experience, not education, not the passing of years. Give yourself to it and watch your life take on the very image of the One you behold.
