Romans 10:8 says, “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.”
Prayer is not begging God to do what He has already done. Prayer is fellowship, and prayer is the release of faith. When you pray, something happens in the realm of the spirit, and what happens in the spirit eventually shows up in the physical.
That’s why Jesus said men ought always to pray and not to faint (Luke 18:1). Prayer keeps your spirit alert and your faith active.
So pray in the Spirit today. Pray with understanding. Pray with thanksgiving. And expect results, because the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of prayer. I pray in faith and in the Spirit today, and I know that you hear me always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
