Things To Recognize in Prayer

Dear Pastor Chris, I pray often but I am not always sure what I am doing when I pray. What should I recognise when I come before God?
Prayer changes things because prayer is the believer taking his place in the earth.
Recognise who you are talking to
You are not addressing a distant deity. You are talking to a Father who already knows what you have need of, and who has already made provision.
Recognise the authority you carry
Whatsoever you bind on earth is bound in heaven. That is legal language, and it was given to you.
Recognise the language of the Spirit
Praying in the spirit edifies you and carries your prayer beyond the limits of what your mind can articulate.
