How can I identify my God-given talents?

Every child of God came into this world carrying something the world needs. Nobody was sent here empty.

Start with what stirs you

A talent rarely announces itself with a trumpet. More often it shows up as the thing you cannot stop caring about — the need that bothers you, the work you would do whether or not anyone paid you for it.

"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them." — Romans 12:6

Then put it to work

• Serve where you are. Gifts are discovered in use, not in contemplation.
• Let the Word shape it. The Holy Spirit sharpens what you surrender to Him.
• Refuse comparison. Your gift was measured out for your assignment, not for someone else's.

You will not stand before God with empty hands. Begin with what is in your hand today, and He will multiply it.
